Knowing what to do in the first few minutes of an emergency can make all the difference. The Cambodia Student Center First Aid Training Workshop provides practical, hands-on training that gives participants the confidence to respond to common medical emergencies at home, in the workplace, at school, or in the community.

Delivered in partnership with Apex Learning & Development (RTO 46324), this workshop is based on internationally recognised first aid principles and follows the Australian HLTAID011 Provide First Aid framework and Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. Training focuses on real-life scenarios, practical skills, and building the confidence to act when every second counts.


Workshop Overview

This interactive workshop combines instructor-led demonstrations with practical activities using professional first aid equipment and CPR manikins.

Participants will learn how to:

  • Recognise and respond to emergency situations
  • Assess an injured or unwell person safely
  • Perform CPR on adults
  • Correctly use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Manage bleeding and wounds
  • Assist someone who is choking
  • Respond to asthma and allergic reactions
  • Recognise heart attack and stroke symptoms
  • Treat burns, fractures and soft tissue injuries
  • Place an unconscious casualty into the recovery position
  • Communicate effectively with emergency services
  • Provide care until professional medical assistance arrives

What You’ll Learn

Throughout the workshop you’ll develop practical skills in:

CPR & AED

Learn the correct CPR technique and how to confidently use an Automated External Defibrillator.

Wound Care

Control bleeding, clean and dress wounds, and manage injuries until help arrives.

Emergency Response

Assess emergencies quickly, prioritise actions, and provide appropriate first aid.

Real-Life Scenarios

Practice responding to realistic emergency situations through guided practical exercises.
